MUSICAL STYLE AND INFLUENCES

          Paramore's music has usually been considered as "emo" and "pop punk". Joshua Martin wrote after an meeting with Hayley Williams, "The group isn't just a brief pop-punk lady with red locks and a courageous mind-set. Their music is like them, it's outdated in a different way. It's increased, and bogged down down. It's emo without being whiny, or bratty. Almost a very actual anti-Avril Lavigne." Substitute Media journal had mentioned that the group was "young sounding", while continually being "honest." Paramore's first record All We Know is Falling had an probably more "formulaic pop-punk" audio that was "delivered particularly well"and the mixture of the two had designed a "refined stone filled pop/punk record."
